Peperomia and More in Bioplanter | Potted Succulent Garden
A little water weekly and bright indoor light is what I give these succulent plants. The collection contains a peperomia golden gate, aeonium lily pad baby, aloe juvenna baby, aloe aristata baby, and a dorotheanthus bellidiformis 'mesblica' mezoo trailing red.
The 7" diameter bioplanter (made from plant fiibers, not plastic) does not have a drain hole and will slowly break down over time. In my experience, they usually last about 1.5 year.
Bioplanters also help plants clean the air as any plants that do air purification do so at the root level as the roots interact with air.
Though I am transitioning to organic methods, I have used a synthetic pesticide in the soil (absorbed by the whole plant) that is said to last a year but is not safe for bees (or people or animals) so please take one of the following precautions if your plant flowers: 1) change the soil, 2) bring the planter indoors before and while the plant blooms, 3) cut the flower buds off if there is a chance that a bee will come in contact with them, 4) keep the planter indoors until the end of May, 2018 Thank you!
