Vining Asparagus/Plumosa Fern #3 in Red Ceramic
This plant will become large (taller than an adult human) and climb with age--as it is a vine--especially if given something to climb up! If kept outdoors, it needs shade in the summer. This one might need to be repotted in a month or two.
Though I am transitioning to organic methods, I have used a synthetic pesticide in the soil (absorbed by the whole plant) that is said to last a year but is not safe for bees (or people or animals). So, please take one of the following precautions IF your plant flowers (I have never seen this plant flower): 1) change the soil, 2) bring the planter indoors before and while the plant blooms, 3) cut the flower buds off if there is a chance that a bee could come in contact with the pollen, 4) grow your plant indoors for about 3.5 months (mid May). Thanks!
